Beginnings and Growth

Welcome to Nelson Arrangements! My name is Garrett Nelson. With 17 years at the piano and 8 years at the organ, music isn't just a hobby for me—it's become a core part of how I express and experience the world. This passion naturally led me to create my own musical arrangements, especially of beloved LDS hymns, aiming to offer a fresh or deeper connection to their messages.

The seeds for Nelson Arrangements were sown during my time as an LDS Missionary in Charlotte, North Carolina from 2021 - 2023. I felt a strong desire to share the arrangements I was creating. It all began quite simply: a Google Drive folder served as the first home for these pieces, making it easy to share them with friends, family, and fellow missionaries. That Drive is still a part of my process for storage and sharing with close connections.

As I continued to create and share, and as more people showed interest, it became clear that a more dedicated and accessible platform was needed. What started on Google Drive evolved into the Nelson Arrangements website you see today. My vision is to provide a welcoming space where people can easily find and enjoy these arrangements, whether for listening or for performance. Here, you'll discover various types of arrangements available as recordings and, for a few pieces, as downloadable sheet music.
